Robert Williams, Amwood’s New Iowa Regional Sales Manager

Amwood Building Systems is excited to welcome Robert Williams as the new Regional Sales Manager for Iowa. With a deep-rooted passion for construction and a strong connection to the Midwest, Robert brings more than two decades of experience and dedication to the role.

Returning to His Roots

When asked what drew him to Amwood, Robert shared that the decision was about coming full circle, back to his family roots. “My father was a carpenter,” he said, “and I’ve spent over 25 years in various roles within new construction and remodeling. I’ve worked with lumber yards, new construction, and remodeling companies. This role felt like a natural next step.”

A Strong Background in Business and Building

Dakota. Rob has built an impressive career working with companies closely tied to the construction industry, including Ford Steel, Rainbow Restoration, and The Acri Company. His combined background in business and hands-on construction experience makes him uniquely equipped to support and grow Amwood’s network of builders.

Family and Life in the Midwest

A proud Midwesterner, Robert has called Iowa home since 1998. He was raised on a fourth-generation family cattle farm in northeast Missouri, and his journey has included time in the Marines, where he lived in California and North Carolina. Today, he lives in Iowa with his fiancée, Jessica, and keeps close ties with his son, Cody, who lives in Bettendorf and works in marketing for the Quad City Symphony.

A Love for the Outdoors

When imagining his dream home, Robert doesn’t hesitate to name one must-have feature: a pool. “We love to relax in it on hot summer days,” he shared. His love for the outdoors extends beyond swimming, he enjoys golfing, beach outings, and hunting for antiques with Jessica. “We love finding hidden treasures,” he added.

Looking Ahead with Amwood

What excites Robert most about working with Amwood? “The flexibility to grow my territory and help builders create homeowners’ dream homes,” he said. With his strong background, clear vision, and passion for helping others, Robert is a valuable addition to the Amwood team.
