Meet Our Summer Interns!

As we dive into the heart of summer, we’re excited to introduce a talented group of interns who have joined us across various areas of our business. Internships have become a valuable addition to our company, offering students hands-on experience in the building industry while bringing fresh perspectives and energy to our teams. We’re thrilled to continue this program and help support the next generation of industry professionals.

This summer, we’re proud to host interns at both our Windsor location and Amwood Corporate.

Windsor Interns

Senadin DomazetSenadin Domazet is returning for his second summer with the framing team. He’s from Oregon, WI, and is studying Civil Engineering at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, class of 2028. He hopes to become a Structural Engineer after graduation.

His typical day involves framing walls and picking up other building tasks as needed. Senadin enjoys learning from experienced team members and gaining real-world skills. In his free time, he likes cycling, playing guitar, cooking, and spending time outdoors with friends.

Elhadji NdiayeElhadji Ndiaye is joining us for his first summer in framing. He has his sights set on becoming a foreman in the construction field. Elhadji enjoys the detailed and fast-paced nature of the work and appreciates being surrounded by team members who take pride in what they do.

Maggie BrehmerMargaret “Maggie” Brehmer is back for her second summer assisting with design. She recently graduated with an Associate Degree in Interior Design from Madison College and is now pursuing a degree in Architectural Technology with an anticipated graduation in Spring 2027. Maggie enjoys crafting, crocheting, drawing, diamond painting, and spending time with her dogs, Louie and Paco Taco.

Amwood Corporate Interns

Isaiash OlsonIsaiah Olson is joining the drafting team for his first summer. He is currently studying architecture at Madison Area Technical College and previously worked as a drafter and architecture assistant with Frey Construction and Homes. Isaiah enjoys drawing houses, using his creativity, and in his free time, he plays basketball, works out, reads, and hangs out with his cat.

Makenzie HallaMakenzie Halla returns for her third summer on the drafting team and also assists during winter breaks. She’s completing her final year in the B.ARCH program at UW-Milwaukee with Honors distinction and plans to pursue a Master of Science in Architecture.

Makenzie aspires to work on large-scale developments and become a licensed architect. A 2025 SuperJURY award recipient for a net-zero house design, Makenzie spends her days drawing in Revit, calling builders, sizing structural components, and performing calculations for wind-bracing. In her free time, she enjoys reading, socializing with friends, and caring for her houseplants.

We are incredibly proud of the work these interns are doing and the passion they bring to their roles. Their dedication, creativity, and drive to grow in their careers inspire us every day. It’s clear that the future of our industry is in good hands!
