Exciting Changes to the Amwood Finance Department

We are happy to announce that Tami Nimz has been promoted to Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Amwood. With almost 47 years of experience, Tami has been tremendous here at Amwood, and we could not have been successful without her expert knowledge.

With her advancement, we are pleased to welcome Liuan “Jack” Yang to the Amwood team! Jack recently joined Amwood as our Controller, bringing with him a strong background in accounting, finance, and a great
sense of humor.

A Strong Foundation in Accounting
Jack holds a Master of Accounting degree from the University of Missouri. After completing his graduate studies, he built valuable professional experience working in public accounting with Ernst & Young and

later with Garmin. These roles helped him develop a well-rounded understanding of financial operations, reporting, and business support skills he now brings to Amwood.

Originally from China, Jack came to the United States as an exchange student 16 years ago. He quickly fell in love with the Midwest and decided to make the U.S. his home.

Life Outside of Work
When Jack isn’t working with numbers, he enjoys staying active and having fun. His hobbies include playing basketball, jogging, and video games. During football season, you’ll likely find him cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs.

One fun fact that might surprise you: Jack enjoys comedy and has even tried his hand at stand-up comedy a few times!

Family is important to Jack, even though most of his relatives live abroad. He grew up during China’s one-child era and has no siblings. His parents are retired and visit him occasionally, while most of his extended family remains in China, with one cousin living in Canada.

A Dream Home Feature
If Jack were designing his dream home, one feature would be a must-have:

A home theater where he can watch TV and movies, play video games, and even host the occasional karaoke night, a perfect space for both entertainment and relaxation.

What Jack enjoys most about working at Amwood is the company’s friendly, laid-back culture. In his role as Controller, he will be learning the ins and outs of Amwood’s businesses, preparing financial statements, and supporting our overall financial operations.
