What Does Amwood Actually Do for the Builder?

Wednesday, August 19, 2026

When builders first hear about Amwood, they may think we are simply a company that manufactures wall panels.

We do that. But it is only one part of the relationship.

The Amwood Building System is designed to give independent builders access to an entire network of resources that can help them operate more efficiently, serve their customers and grow their businesses.

You Build the Relationship. We Help Support the Process.

As an Amwood builder, you remain the face of your business.

Your customers are your customers. Your reputation is your reputation. And you remain in control of the relationship.

Behind the scenes, however, you do not have to do everything alone.

What Does Amwood Actually Do For the Builder

Design and Drafting

Whether your customer starts with an existing Amwood plan or has something different in mind, our design and drafting resources help turn ideas into buildable plans.

Amwood offers more than 200 starting plans, and those plans can be customized around the needs of your customer.

Estimating

Accurate information at the beginning of a project helps create a better experience throughout the build.

Amwood builders work with dedicated estimating resources to help bring greater clarity and consistency to the planning process.

Engineering and Manufacturing

Once plans are finalized, the major structural components are manufactured in a controlled environment using the specifications for that individual home.

The floor system, wall panels and roof trusses are then prepared for delivery to the building site.

Framing and Delivery

Need a framing crew? Amwood has experienced crews that travel to jobsites. Builders who already have crews they prefer can continue using them as well.

Crane service and delivery can also be incorporated into the package, reducing the number of pieces a builder has to coordinate independently.

Business Support

The relationship does not end when the truck leaves the manufacturing facility.

Builders receive ongoing support from their Regional Sales Manager and have access to training, business-planning assistance, marketing resources and lead support.

New builders also participate in training designed to help them understand the Amwood process and use the system effectively.

The Best Part? You’re Still Independent.

Amwood is not trying to replace your company. We are here to support it.

You maintain your own business, your customer relationships and the reputation you have worked hard to build.

Think of Amwood as an extension of your team — providing additional resources and expertise when and where you need them.

Because sometimes growing your business does not require doing more yourself. It requires finding the right partner.
