Amwood Homes delivers homes to mainly a four-state region (WI, IL, MN, and IA). We supply our builder network with housing packages that range from first time buyer to leisure cabins to luxury homes. We design the homes based on the materials requested by our builders. Every builder has their own preferences and we configure the projects to accommodate their needs. We build the floor cassettes, wall panels, and trusses in one of our two production facilities located in Madison, WI and Montezuma IA. Then we site assemble the components constructing the entire framing of the home in just a few days.
We are looking to add to our design department either at our corporate office in Janesville or our plant in Madison, with work from home opportunity once trained on-site.
The ideal Draftsperson will have:
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in residential design using REVIT
· Basic knowledge of architectural design and building codes (UDC & IRC)
· Ability to work in a high-volume fast-paced environment
· Be able to read blueprints
· Understand construction concepts and terminologies
· Be able to size construction material under specific conditions and loads
· Good visualization and communication skills

Position:
We currently have an opening for a Class A CDL Truck Driver located at our Madison, Wisconsin, facility.

Candidate will spend the majority of the day rigging and will be home at the end of the day, 90 percent of the time.
Enjoy being home 4-5 nights a week and play a key role in the initial stages of building a new home!
As part of this position you will need to:
- Perform pre/post trip inspections of trucks, trailers, equipment, paperwork and loaded product for safety and accuracy
- Bend, twist and squat
- Work in a variety of weather conditions
- Lift up to 100# throughout the work shift, with assistance
- Work as part of a team to keep one another accountable and motivated.

About us
Windsor Building Systems specializes in factory-built components, including roof trusses, floor trusses, wall panels and engineered wood products. With nearly 40 years of experience in the industry, we have created a tradition of trust and craftsmanship.
In this position, you will construct various components and wood frames of a home, including floor decks, wall panels, and trusses. In conjunction with our production software and design plans, you will select the correct material, cut required pieces to the appropriate lengths, and follow the design plans to build components. Many projects vary in complexity, as all components that we build are custom.
An ideal team member in this role has construction experience or a strong willingness to learn.

The Production Foreman will be a hands-on leader managing production employees and overseeing production operations to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and quantity standards to meet production schedule.
- Spends 80% of the work day alongside the production team meeting production goals/expectations in floor deck, wall panel and roof truss work cells.
- Actively oversees production workflow within specific work centers to maintain production timelines
- Maintains strong knowledge of processes and equipment used to successfully coach and train employees
- Completes a final load inspection to audit for completion, accuracy, and quality
- Provide strong leadership to staff to promote a positive team culture, efficient operations, and quality product
- Ensures that employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures
- Assist Production Manager in identification of variance or disruption to daily plan
- Communicate with production team effectively and respectively
- Actively leads and promotes lean continuous improvement initiatives by leading events and developing/maintaining a lean culture.
- Proactively participate in safety programs and initiatives
- Utilize and optimize our production software, such as MiTek, to help lead operations
- Communicate Inventory Levels and Maintenance concerns to production manger
- Process includes positioning of materials, clamping, fitting parts and the use of both hand & power tools following blueprint specifications with 100% accuracy
- Accurately measure and cut building materials
- Verifies all dimensions of parts and accuracy of assembly
- Ensures that assembled items meet specific quality specifications
Candidates for this position:
- Will have a minimum of 1 yr experience in construction
- Are preferred to have knowledge in floor, wall and roof layout processes
- Should have a vast knowledge of hand and power tools, building materials and types of lumber
