We started our relationship with Amwood Homes in 2005. We are extremely pleased with Amwood and feel fortunate to be able to offer their custom homes to our customers. Amwood not only provides quality, state of the art homes, but also has quality people behind the company. These quality people include our regional sales representative, the set crews, builder support, drafting, craftsmen, and all the way up to management and ownership. Even though they are extremely busy, it is comforting as a builder to know if we need to speak with either the President or the CEO, they are willing to talk with us and help all they can. They are down to earth folks even if they are running a large corporation. If absolutely necessary, even our customers could converse with these folks too.

Whenever we have been in need of help, we have always been able to count on Amwood to come through for us. Whenever we have encountered a problem, Amwood's people have always been quick to rectify the problem, even to the point of our sales representative driving for hours to a job site, putting on a tool belt and fixing the problem personally. We have always felt a problem really isn't a problem unless someone refuses to make it right. Amwood has always responded very favorably for us and our customers.

Lar-Con Builders has been associated with Amwood Homes since 1979, when my wife Connie and I first met founder Gene Scott. Right away, we saw the advantage of an organization that would back you not only in product but knowledge. A short time later, I was introduced to wood foundations and I could see many advantages to use them for my customers. I soon found myself promoting the wood foundations and soon was doing them almost exclusively. I've heard almost every excuse for not wanting to use a wood foundation, but I have persevered throughout the 28 years building them and showing the customers the tremendous advantages. I have lost track, but I've easily built over 500 homes of all kinds.

Amwood Homes sponsors the annual Spring Kick Off (with training seminars and social opportunities for builders). Connie and I always enjoyed coming to these get-togethers and we have built long-last relationships with other builders and their families.
